David Florysiak is a Research Fellow at the Danish Finance Institute and Assistant Professor of Finance at the University of Southern Denmark.

During his academic career, he was Visiting Assistant Professor of Finance at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), Visiting Scholar at the UCLA Anderson School of Management, and Assistant Professor of Empirical Corporate Finance at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich (LMU). Mr. Florysiak studied business administration and economics at the Universities of Osnabrück and York (UK) and received his doctorate from the LMU Munich.

David Florysiak's research and teaching focuses on Empirical Corporate Finance, Financial Econometrics and Statistics, and Data Science Applications in Finance/FinTech.
