Dr. Dudzinski is a cardiologist, cardiac intensivist, and echocardiographer at HMS & MGH. Dr. Dudzinski trained at MGH, where he was a chief resident, and is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular diseases, nuclear cardiology, adult comprehensive echocardiography & critical care medicine. Dr. Dudzinski directs the cardiac intensive care unit & focuses clinical, research, admin & educational efforts in the novel area of critical care cardiology.

Dr. Dudzinski is a cardiologist, cardiac intensivist and echocardiographer at Harvard Medical School and Mass General. Dr. Dudzinski trained at Mass General, where he was a chief resident, and is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular diseases, nuclear cardiology, adult comprehensive echocardiography and critical care medicine. He serves as a staff cardiac intensivist in the cardiac and cardiac surgical intensive care units, with a clinical expertise centered on the nascent field of critical care cardiology.

Dr. Dudzinski’s academic interests are in pulmonary embolism (PE), right ventricle function, procedural echocardiography, aortic disease, quality improvement, medical education, resuscitation science and emergency cardiovascular care and critical care cardiology. Dr. Dudzinski conducts empiric research on imaging in PE, has been involved in the growth of the Mass General Pulmonary Embolism Response Team (PERT), and has long-term interests in improving PE related mortality, cardiopulmonary function of PE survivors and augmenting public health awareness of PE. Dr. Dudzinski is also an expert in quality of care, specifically appropriate use criteria (AUC) as applied to diagnostic imaging. He serves as the safety officer for both the Mass General cardiac intensive care unit and echocardiography laboratory.

Dr. Dudzinski invests significant time in medical education, advocating for creation of formal cardiology-critical care fellowship training, and formally teaching medical students, residents, fellows and internists about electrocardiography, echocardiography, intensive care and stress testing. Dr. Dudzinski is also an attorney with expertise in the scientific and legal aspects of the regulation of protein-based therapeutics, and he serves on the American College of Cardiology’s national medical professional liability working group.
