Heinz College

His current research focuses on statistics and machine learning for network data, including exploratory data analysis and community detection, other network models involving latent variables or unsupervised learning, and causal inference in the presence of social network effects.

He has previously worked as a research scientist at MIT Lincoln Laboratory, as a postdoc in the School of Engineering at Harvard University and as a visiting scholar in the Department of Statistics at UC Berkeley.

Professor Choi received his Ph.D. from Stanford University in 2004.
