Sciences Po
David Cadier is a researcher in EU foreign policy at CERI-Sciences Po since March 2018. He’s also an Associate at LSE IDEAS (London School of Economics) and a Future World Fellow at the Centre for the Governance of Change (IE University). His research focuses mainly on EU-Russia relations and EU member states’ foreign policies (especially Poland, Czech Republic and France). At CERI-Sciences Po, he coordinates the Horizon 2020 project EULISTCO along with Christian Lequesne.
From 2012 to 2015, he was a Teaching Fellow at the London School of Economics (LSE). There, he taught in the International Relations Department and on LSE IDEAS' Executive Masters in International Strategy and Diplomacy. He was also a member on the Working Group on Europe, Russia and Ukraine set up by the LSE and the Hertie School of Governance in the framework of the Dahrendorf Forum. David has also taught as Adjunct Lecturer at IE University in Madrid (2018), Sciences Po Lille (2012) and Charles University in Prague (2009).
From November 2015 to November 2017, David was awarded a TAPIR Fellowship for his research project analyzing comparatively EU member states’ policies towards Russia. In this capacity and, prior, during his doctoral studies, he has held visiting positions at various universities and policy research centers, such as the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy in Boston, the Prague Institute of International Relations (IIR), the Center for Transatlantic Relations at SAIS Johns Hopkins University in Washington DC, the Finnish Institute of International Affairs (FIIA) in Helsinki and the Polish Institute of International Affairs (PISM) in Warsaw. Before embarking on a PhD, he also gained early policy experience at the OSCE Headquarters in Vienna, at the OSCE Mission to Serbia and at the French Embassy to Estonia.
He obtained his Phd in Political Science and International Relations from Sciences Po (CERI) in 2012.
