Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy

David Aldama-Navarrete is a financial economist in the Supervision, Regulation and Credit department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond. David holds a doctorate in finance from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College, as well as a bachelor’s degree from ITAM in Mexico City, and a Master of International Business from the Fletcher School, Tufts University.

His research interests lie in banking, the political economy of finance, loan contracting, and the finance-growth nexus. Prior to his graduate studies, he worked in microfinance for over five years in his native Mexico in product development, sales, and operations roles. In his last industry position, David worked as COO of a microfinance startup firm.
