Daryl is a visionary marketing leader who has grown and cultivated premier brands and businesses with Frito-Lay, KFC, Diageo, East African Breweries, Mars Chocolate, and BP – representing a portfolio of brands that include Rold Gold Pretzels, KFC, Malibu Rum, Bailey’s Irish Cream, Captain Morgan Rum, Guinness, Red Stripe beer, M&M’s, and Castrol.

Having grown up in an entrepreneurial family, Daryl worked alongside his father – who owned a local beverage distribution business – and developed a competitive spirit and passion for building great brands, winning battles at the shelf, and growing sustainable businesses rooted in consumer insights. Additionally, his mother was an educator and instilled the importance of education.

Daryl holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and he started his professional career in manufacturing before transitioning to marketing as an Assistant Product Manager with Frito-Lay, Inc. following the completion of his MBA in marketing and finance from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management.

Daryl has a broad range of experience in brand management, regional/field marketing, international assignment, global marketing, corporate strategy, and e-commerce.

Currently, Daryl leads US marketing for BP’s Castrol portfolio of brands, and he also teaches business communication to MBA students at Baruch College’s Zicklin School of Business.
