Experience

Darryl Spivey has over 20 years of human resources, financial services and leadership development experience. Darryl has been responsible for executive and management development programs, internal organizational consulting, coaching and strategic partner ing with business program managers to develop leaders at all levels.

Prior to joining CCL, Darryl held a number of leadership development, coaching, program design and talent management positions. Darryl has served as Vice President of Leadership Development; he has managed Leadership and Professional Development Organizations and provided strategic educational direction for fortune 200 companies.

Darryl is master certified in several development and leadership programs and has received recognition and numerous awards for his phenomenal ability to connect with others and to achieve superior development results. Included in his accolades is the Chairman’s Award, the highest recognition possible for all employees of The Hartford worldwide.

Current Role

Darryl is a manager of design and delivery at the Center for Creative Leadership. He works with global clients from premier organizations to help their leaders become critical and strategic thinkers, extraordinary performers, visionaries, and builders of coalitions within their respective organizations. With his extensive experience in corporate America, he is able to serve the CCL’s clients through design and delivery approaches that work for various Global Solutions clientele. Darryl also facilitates cultural transformation and leadership strategy work for global high-touch CEO and C-Suite clients.

Darryl guides leaders towards meeting their organization’s vision, mission, and goals while staying true to their respective leadership styles. He facilitates open enrollment and customized client programs for 25–75 executives at various levels monthly. Part of his work involves helping leaders to develop an inclusive workplace that fosters the development of others and supports constructive resolution of conflicts.

Educational Background

Darryl earned his M.B.A. in Finance and Management from The University of Connecticut, and holds a B.A. degree in Mathematics and Computer Science with a minor degree in Accounting from Oakwood University in Huntsville, Alabama.

Professional Affiliations

For several years, Darryl was an adjunct professor for the University of Connecticut’s MBA program and the University of Pittsburgh’s Business School. He also taught for Washington Adventist University’s Master’s program. He is active in community service organizations, has chaired, held leadership positions, and been a valuable member on a number of boards.
