Darin Rowell

Adjunct Professor of Management

Biography

For the past 20 years, I have helped executives expand their leadership skills and develop into their full potential. My clients range from high-growth, PE-backed companies to Fortune 50 organizations that span industry sectors such as healthcare, retail, energy, transportation, technology, financial and professional services.

Central to my approach is developing a close partnership with my clients that requires a mutual commitment to transparency, vulnerability, personal accountability, and a bias for action. In addition to achieving their explicit financial and performance goals, my clients and I focus on ensuring they expand into their full capacity as leaders, team members, and individuals. Developing the leader as a whole person is critical because, ultimately, companies and cultures can only develop as fast and as far as their leaders.

In addition to my coaching work, I write for the Harvard Business Review and for almost a decade I was an Adjunct Professor of Management and Team Performance Coach at the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University. My academic training includes a Masters and Doctorate degree in Organizational Leadership from the University of Pennsylvania.

On a more personal note, my family and I recently returned to Franklin, TN after living four years in Nicaragua and Costa Rica. Personal and family time is filled with volunteering, sports, outdoor activities, and any opportunity to travel and explore new environments, cultures, and friendships.
