Executive School of Management, Technology and Law

Daniel graduated from the University of Basel, Switzerland, with a Master in business administration and economics with focus on capital markets and corporate finance. He is a CFA charter holder. In his role as Deputy Group Treasurer at Novartis, he is in charge of the financing of the Novartis Group, the management of the rating agency relationships and all other capital market related activities. He is also responsible for the Group’s currency risk management and treasury control / reporting operations as well as the US treasury. Prior to his current role, he worked at Novartis Corporation in New York. Daniel joined Novartis in 1999 as a Portfolio Manager managing equities for the Swiss Pension Plan.
