Research & Teaching Interests

Professor Lee teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in Organizational Behavior, International Management, Organizational behavior in co-op settings, and Leadership in diverse and multicultural environments. She has taught Ph.D. seminars on employment relationships at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Professor Lee initiated the consulting project at the graduate level, and her initiative has been adopted and integrated in the D''Amore-McKim School of Business'' graduate program. She has also started a fundraising class project, which teaches students various leadership and team-work related skills, at the undergraduate and graduate level. Professor Lee''s research interests include leading change and innovation, performance management, understanding the changing nature of employment relationships including psychological contracts and of job insecurity.

Industry & Academic Experience

Prior to joining Northeastern University, Professor Lee served as a visiting professor of Management & Marketing at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She also spent time as a co-director for the Center of Leadership and Innovation at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University from 2011-2013 and as a chair professor from 2009-2012. Her extensive academic experience includes the following positions: visiting professor at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in the Spring of 2005 and an associate professor position at Northeastern University from 1991-2005. Additionally, Professor Lee served at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology from 1995-1997. She also facilitated a pay plan change implementation at Polaroid Corporation and assisted them with numerous survey projects from 1991-1997. Professor Lee served as assistant professor of organizational behavior and human resource management at Temple University prior to joining the College of Business Administration faculty in 1987.

Services to the Profession

Professor Lee serves on the editorial boards of Journal of Applied Psychology and the Journal of Organizational Behavior, where she also works as a special issue co-editor. She also spends time as an ad hoc reviewer for Human Resources Management and as an external mentor for Ting Cheng at the University of Jyväskylä. She is also a member of the Academy of Management and Society of Industrial and Organizational Psychology.

Awards & Recognition

2016 Nash Outstanding Doctoral Alumni Award, University of Maryland.

2016: Recipient (co-investigator) of the Hong Kong Research Grants Council for the study of "Enjoy Your Night, Stay Proactive Tomorrow: Exploring the Motivational Mechanisms of Off-Job Experiences‒Proactive Behavior Relationships."

2013: Society of Industrial and Organizational Psychology Fellow.
