Leadership is about mobilizing people to make progress on problems they themselves face, not hiring someone to swoop in and offer temporary fixes for those problems. Using an adaptive leadership framework developed at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, I work with you to diagnose organizational and individual challenges, asking a lot of questions and focusing on what the actual (not perceived) problem is so we can identify concrete action steps that help you make progress on challenge while developing your leadership capacity.

What I do:

  • Diagnose: leadership challenges and failures. Too often the reason things don't change is because we are working on the wrong problem.
  • Train: using cutting-edge adaptive leadership and experiential learning activities
  • Coach: we work together to develop a leadership development plan to get you out of your own way
  • Consult: level the playing field by creating a work culture that increases and leverages the diversity of your team. We will identify the policies, procedures, recruitment strategies, and practices that create barriers to diversity and inclusion.

What I don't do: * Bore you: an award-winning university professor for my creative and innovative teaching, each leadership training session is highly engaging and active--no sitting and listening to the "sage on the stage." * Assume you are right: too often, leadership consultants assume you have correctly identified the challenges and barriers facing you/your organization. I spend a lot of time gathering data and working with you to make sure we are working on the right problem , not the perceived one.
