Creina Day

Creina Day received the 2011 JG Crawford Award for the best piece of original research on Japan. Ongoing research interests span economic demography, fertility, R&D-based growth, China’s resources boom and macroeconomic policy. Her research has been published in Berkeley Electronic Journals in Macroeconomics, Economic Record, Review of Income and Wealth, and Oxford Economic Papers

Prior to joining the Department, Creina was a Lecturer in postgraduate Macroeconomics Analysis at the University of Sydney. She received 3 awards: Excellence in Online Teaching (Sem 1, 2008); Dean’s Award for Excellence in Teaching (Sem 2, 2008 and Sem 1, 2009). As a first time lecturer in Macroeconomics 2, she was also nominated for the ANU’s highest award for teaching, the 2006 Vice Chancellor’s Award for Teaching Excellence. Recently, Creina received the College of Asia and the Pacific (CAP) Dean’s Award for Teaching Excellence in 2016.
