Dr. Congcong LI joined the Palumbo-Donahue School of Business at Duquesne University in 2019 after spending four years at the Singapore Management University as a faculty member. She received her Ph.D. in Accounting from the University of Maryland and M.A. in Economics from Duke University. Her research interests are primarily in the area of information environment, specifically the role of media in capital markets and assessing the information content of earnings at aggregate level. Her research has been published in leading academic journals including: Journal of Accounting and Economics, Management Science, Review of Accounting Studies, Accounting, Organization & Society, and The Accounting Review. She is a member of the American Accounting Association and currently serves on the editorial board of Journal of Accounting and Public Policy and The International Journal of Accounting. Her teaching interests include both financial and managerial accounting. She is a recipient of the Distinguished Teaching Award from the University of Maryland and the Dean's List for Teaching Excellence from the Singapore Management University.
