Dr. Wang Cong is Professor of Finance and Co-Director of Centre for Globalization of Chinese Companies at CEIBS. He received his Ph.D. in Finance from Vanderbilt University in 2007. Before joining CEIBS, Dr. Wang was a tenured Associate Professor of Finance at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He was also an Outstanding Fellow of the Faculty of Business Administration at CUHK.

Dr. Wang’s current research focuses on the corporate finance, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, and executive compensation. His papers have been extensively published in academic journals including Journal of Finance, Review of Financial Studies, Journal of Accounting and Economics, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, and Journal of Banking and Finance. Two of his papers are among the top 10 most-cited articles published in Journal of Finance in 2007 and 2009 respectively. Another paper won the 2015 Emerald Citations of Excellence Award. At CUHK, he taught various programs including MBA, EMBA, EMPAcc, and MSc in Finance. Dr. Wang received CUHK 2010 Young Researcher Award and 2013 CUHK Business School Teaching Award.
