Concepción Galdón is Director/Lead Academic of Social Innovation at IE University. She is responsible for creating Social Innovation academic content in all schools and programs, fostering more research in Social Innovation, and collaborating with organizations and partners interested in Social Innovation. Concepción is a professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at IE. Concepción is also president of the social enterprise Puentes Global, which she co-founded in 2009. She is a member of Ashoka Spain's Venture Board and impact fund investment committees.

Concepción is an Economist from the Autonomous University of Madrid. She has a Master's in Public Administration and International Development that she obtained from the Harvard Kennedy School. Concepción has a PhD in International Economics and Development from the Complutense University of Madrid, which awarded her the Extraordinary Doctorate Award in Economics. Her PhD research focuses on the use of technology in social entrepreneurship. She has published academic journal articles and book chapters. She writes contributions for the media regularly and is a speaker at international conferences.

His previous professional experience includes founding an NGO, the UN Procurement Service, the Latin America Division of Banco Santander, and the Government of Liberia under the presidency of Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, 2011 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate.
