CBS Executive

Claus Juul Varnes is currently associate professor at Copenhagen Business School. He has extensive experience with managing strategic innovation from both an industrial and academic experience. His research focuses not only on best practice but also on understanding how management tools for innovation are activated within an organizational setting. His consulting, research, and teaching evolves around this challenge. Current research projects focus on how project managers apparently views criteria for choosing the right projects different from senior management level, why new business model projects fail in organizations, why the electric car failed to dominate the market for automobiles in 1902, conversational analysis of portfolio management meetings.
