Biography

Chris has long been a reasoned voice on the role of the private sector in creating social impact. Chris brings a range of experience in the management of organizational growth, strategic development, operational efficiency, venture investment, and support for innovation in dynamic, high growth, revenue-focused companies. He has managed a family office venture capital fund and managed investments for a $2 billion private equity fund focused on environmental remediation. Associated with the venture fund, he has been a serial entrepreneur; been the CFO for several portfolio companies in which he lead capital formation and financial management; and served as the Interim President of an engineering research firm. Chris has been an Adjunct Professor at Columbia (and a lecturer at Yale) on the role of investment and innovation in creating meaningful social impact; and he previously managed two non-profit venture programs. His approach focuses on finding the right alignment between business strategy and a genuine concern for the community. He is an advocate for creating quality employment and equitable work practices that are essential to a sustainable economy.
