Biography

Dr. Christopher Price is a specialist plastic and reconstructive surgeon. He recently completed a Microsurgery/Reconstruction Fellowship at the University of Manitoba Division of Plastic Surgery, Canada, under the guidance of Dr. Ed Buchel. The fellowship focused on autologous breast reconstruction, but all forms of complex microvascular reconstruction, as well as aesthetic surgery, were covered.

This fellowship is documented as being one of the most intense reconstructive microsurgical fellowships in North America. Dr Price has worked at various hospitals around the country and internationally, including: Groote Schuur Hospital; Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital; Frere Hospital; Pelonomi/Universitas Hospital; Zurich University Hospital; and Winnipeg Health Sciences Centre and Children’s Hospital. He is a volunteer with Operation Smile and an active member of both local and international societies.

He is an editor for Plastic Surgery Education Network and reviewer for Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery (PRS) Journal. He has gained significant experience in treating conditions of the hand, performed reconstructive microsurgery for hand and lower limb trauma and has a special interest in breast reconstruction using autologous tissue. Surgical skills gained during his fellowship include the microsurgical reconstruction of the breast, head and neck cancer reconstruction and lymphoedema surgery.
