Biography

Dr Chris Miller qualified in Medicine with Honours from the University of Manchester in 2003. During his time as an undergraduate he completed an intercalated degree in Physiology, graduating with First Class Honours. He worked as a junior doctor on the South Manchester Medical Rotation and became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (UK) in 2006. In 2007 he became a NIHR ‘Walport’ Academic Clinical Fellow and Cardiology Registrar. In 2010 he was awarded a NIHR Doctoral Research Fellowship to carry out a PhD investigating the role of multiparametic cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging in cardiac allograft disease. In 2013 he was awarded a NIHR Clinical Lectureship in Cardiology. In 2016 he was awarded a NIHR Clinician Scientist award.
