Biography

Christopher is a Director of The Sanciolo-Bell Group and has 25 years experience in leadership and executive development. He is also an Adjunct Faculty member for the Australian Graduate School of Management at the UNSW Business School. From 2000 to 2012 Christopher was the CEO of The Leadership Consortium. In this position he led the design and was part of the delivery team of programs for the Consortium’s membership which included Telstra, IBM, Boral and Shell as well as public sector organisations such as Victorian Public Service, Roads and Maritime Services NSW, Queensland Health, Australian Tax Office and the Department for Finance and Deregistration

From 1989 to 1999 Christopher held a number of senior Organisational, Leadership and Executive Development roles within Telstra. Christopher was one of the lead authors on the Telecom Manager’s Planning Guide Workbook - Strategies for Continuous Improvement and was accountable for the background research and writing of the Telstra Leadership Matrix (Telstra Quality Approach).

Christopher was also instrumental in founding and developing Telstra’s Centre for Leadership where he had joint responsibility for the design, development and delivery of leadership and executive development programs for the 1000 most senior managers within Telstra.

He has presented for the American Academy of Management, Australian Institute of Company Directors, the Business and Higher Education Roundtable. Most recently Christopher was the Australian contributor to the “Developing Leadership from Around the Globe” chapter in the American Society for Training and Development Handbook II.

Christopher’s earlier career was as a theatre and operatic director and he continues to actively work with the Arts Industry. He was Chair of the Next Wave Festival from 2006 to 2010 and is currently Chair of St Martins Youth Arts Centre, one of Australia’s leading youth arts organisations and is a life-time member of the Adelaide Festival Fringe.
