Said Business School

Chris is a senior Partner at the law firm of Kirkland & Ellis LLP, where he has been instrumental in developing the firm's industry-leading global investment funds practice over two decades.

Chris leads private equity fund formation matters for large and middle-market buyout, growth equity, venture, debt, secondary, technology, real estate and other funds. He also advises his private equity sponsor clients on a wide variety of related matters, including succession planning, key person events, spin-outs, strategic investments in fund management companies, conflict resolution, co-investments, secondary transactions, and internal manager operations.

In addition to his investment funds work, Chris oversees M&A, financing, securities, intellectual property, litigation, restructuring, tax and other matters for a wide range of private and public company clients.

Prior to joining Kirkland & Ellis, Chris was a certified public accountant with Price Waterhouse in New York.

Chris received his Juris Doctor degree from the Harvard Law School, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce from the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce, where he sits on the school’s Advisory Board.

At Saïd Business School, Chris is primarily involved in the Private Equity Institute.
