Biography

Prof. Bell’s research explores our construction of justice and morality as they relate to issues of recognition, rewards, status, community and identity. In particular, he studies their relevance to personal and contractual relationships in order to gain a better understanding of the social and psychological processes of justice and morality that will help to create more welcoming communities, improve individual social well-being and reduce aggressive and defensive responses to perceived moral or ethical threat. Prof. Bell is a founding member of the Organisational Justice and Behavioural Ethics Group.
