Biography

Biography

Chien Ching is a life-long believer in experiential learning which involves inculcating a curious, open and critical mindset in viewing situations from multiple perspectives, based on evidence. Through conversations with students, academics and industry players in various settings, she continuously improves the relevance of the curriculum she develops for students from the engineering, accounting, allied health, arts and humanities disciplines in the public and private universities she has taught in. Her areas of interests are in technical communication, professional communication, visual communication, career and professional development, design thinking, and strategy and self-regulation instruction.

Chien Ching has a PhD in Learning Sciences and Technology, a Masters in Education and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Writing. She has been involved in the accreditation exercise for engineering programs and is an Associate Editor for the Australasian Journal of Educational Technology. She is also trained as a Knowdell Job and Career Development Coach, and Job and Career Transition Coach, and familiar with the Agile approach to project management. She is also certified by the Institute of Adult Learning as a Specialist Adult Educator in Curriculum Development.
