Babson Olin Graduate School of Business
Academic Division: Math & ScienceDr. Winrich teaches introductory, intermediate, and advanced science courses at the undergraduate level, focusing primarily on the application of physical principles to understanding technology and environmental hazards. He has taught at Iowa State University and Union College, where he also managed the observatory. He managed the planetarium at the Schenectady Museum, where he developed new content for the public and school programs. He has also been active in science teacher development programs, and informal science education. Dr. Winrich’s research interests revolve around the use of the history and philosophy of science as a tool for understanding science. He has co-authored papers for the Journal of College Science Teaching, and the Conference Proceedings of the National Association for Research in Science Teaching in 2011, 2010, 2008, 2011, and 2013.
