Background
Chad Zipfel is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Finance. Prior to becoming a fulltime faculty member, Chad was an adjunct professor in Spring 2018.
He joins Fisher with more than a decade of progressive finance leadership experience in the Corporate space. Most recently as Senior Director, he led the turnaround of The Oneida Group out of bankruptcy: rebuilding a new Finance organization, reducing $10M of inventory, enacting more than $8M of price increases, reducing SG&A by $5M, and refinancing the Company’s term loan and ABL revolver.
Prior to that, Chad worked at L Brands and Procter & Gamble for close to 10 years, in various capacities and locations: ranging from Corporate Finance Manager to Plant Controller to Customer Team Finance Leader.
Outside of the classroom, Chad is supporting the startup of the Honors Finance program, is an active member on the Honors Cohort Advisory Council, and is a STEP Faculty Mentor. Prior to that, Chad served as Board Chair at 4 Paws for Ability, a leading service dog nonprofit.
Chad received his BSBA in Finance with Honors, graduating summa cum laude from Fisher. He now resides in Westerville, OH with his wife and two boys.

BUSFIN 4211 Corporate Finance
Analysis of advanced capital budgeting problems through understanding the theories and applications of capital structure, leasing and real options. Theories and applications in corporate control, corporate governance and mergers and acquisitions. Prereq: 3220 (620), AcctMIS 2200, 2300, BusMgt 2320 (330), 2321 (331), and BusMHR 2291 or 2292 (BusAdm 499.01) Not open to students with credit for 721, 4210 or 4212.
