Biography

The Chartered Institute of Marketing

With extensive experience in marketing and management, Cathy Pickup is one of CIM Academy’s longest serving tutors. She has held the CIM Postgraduate Diploma for over 30 years and is qualified to Masters Level.

Cathy began her business career working for a number of FCMG companies predominantly in the drinks industry. She has handled marketing budgets in access of £2m and has managed brands such as Buxton Springs Water and R.Whites Lemonade.

Cathy is currently Lead Director on the Level 4 Certificate for Marketing but has worked as an examiner at Postgraduate level as well as holding the position of Deputy Senior Examiner for many years. As well as helping develop the 2004 syllabus, Cathy is involved in the mapping of University programmes against CIM qualifications and is a moderator of CIM in-company training programmes.
