Catherine Miller leads the software engineering teams for Flatiron Health in Japan, UK and Germany, expanding the reach and breadth of high-quality, curated real-world data. Prior to this role, Cat was Flatiron’s VP of Engineering for Real-World Evidence, leading teams scaling data solutions. Cat has bachelors of science in mathematics and computer science and a master of engineering in computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA).
She has over 15 years of experience as an engineer, data scientist, and product leader in the health technology space. Cat brings her unique background of math, computer science, product management and theatre to problem solving in health care. Before joining Flatiron in 2014, she was an early engineer at data-focused startups Mortar Data and Optum Humedica. Cat is also a frequent presenter on technology in healthcare, leadership best practices and diversity in recruiting at forums such as CTO Summit, CTO Fellowship Fireside Chat and Health Datapalooza. She dreams of being a person whose entire job is giving Yoda-like advice to others.
