Frankfurt School of Finance & Management
Dr. Catherine Marchewitz is a senior researcher in the Climate Policy Department at the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW Berlin). Her research focuses on the transformation of the economy towards climate neutrality, sustainable finance and international climate finance. Currently she works on the further development and use of climate-related scenarios in various industry sectors and by financial market players.
She studied social sciences and business administration at the University of Mannheim and the EM Strasbourg Business School and completed a doctorate in political science at the TU Darmstadt. She is a member of the Think Tank of the Association for the Promotion of Ethics and Sustainability in Investment (CRIC). Before joining DIW Berlin, she worked for various players in the financial sector, including management consulting, asset management and management companies.
