Carlos Garibaldi has over 35 years of experience in Oil & Gas, and solid expertise in Latin America, General Management, Business Development, Exploration New Ventures, M&A, Valuations, Contract Negotiations, Strategic Planning, Management Consulting (Strategic and Organizational), Field Development, and Reservoir Engineering (Waterflooding, EOR, Reserve Certifications, etc.)

He is currently back "home" in Arthur D. Little, as a Director in the Energy and Utilities Practice in the Americas. He had been until recently leading Ecopetrol's exploration new ventures and M&A efforts outside Colombia. Carlos initially developed his career in Amoco (Staff and Research Engineer), on to Plains Resources (VP M&A), Arthur D. Little (Sr. Mgr.), San Jorge International (President & COO), Chevron Latin America (VP of BD), G&G Energy Consultants (Founding Partner), The Scotia Group (VP and Board Director), Harrison Lovegrove (Managing Director), Standard Chartered Bank (Managing Director for Latin America O&G), Tecpetrol (Director of Business Development, Director and Regional Manager North America) and then Managing Director - Global Banking, Resources & Energy Group with HSBC.

He has captured and managed exploration licenses, and managed M&A transactions in Argentina, Australia, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, México, Perú, and USA. He has managed or participated in E&P projects in Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, México, Perú, Trinidad & Tobago, and USA.

Carlos earned a Professional Degree in Chemical Engineering from the Universidad de Buenos Aires, a M.Sc. in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Tulsa, and an MBA from Rice University.

He has taught Strategy, Fiscal Terms, M&A and Negotiation courses in several other Latin American countries.

Carlos is fully bilingual English-Spanish, and has working knowledge of Portuguese. He holds FINRA licenses Series 7, 79, 63 and 24
