Assistant Professor at the Department of Operations and Information Management at the University of Connecticut since August 2019, with a Ph.D. in Mathematics (Technical University of Berlin, Germany) and a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Computer Science (University of São Paulo, Brazil). Previously, I was a Research Staff Member at IBM Research – Brazil from 2012 until 2019. My primary research interests are analytics, optimization, mathematical programming, and theoretical computer science, with focus on the application of techniques in data science, machine learning, mixed integer linear programming, combinatorial optimization, and algorithms design to operations research problems.
