Presentation

I am interested in how people think about and experience the process of starting new businesses.  As such, I am particularly interested in expanding my repertoire of qualitative methodologies, with a special interest in exploring entrepreneurial narratives as sources of insight into this process.   I view venture start-up as a behavior and am curious as to what motivates (and what inhibits) people from engaging in this behavioral pattern.  Finally, I am interested in implications for evolutionary theorizing.  Evolution, systematic biology, and neuroscience are lenses that shape my understanding of the world

Primary research areas

  • Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Behaviour
  • Qualitative and Mixed Methods
  • Organizational and Human Evolution
  • Moral Cognition/Ethics (transitioning away from this area)
