Bruce Haase

Bruce is now a valued online practitioner and a key member of the CISL team delivering four end-to-end presentations of our popular eight-week online course to hundreds of business professionals each year. As Head Tutor, he manages a team of our experienced tutors and assessors based around the world and leads the course’s annual review. His review work incorporates feedback and updates content to ensure that this commercially successful course remains exciting and engaging for users and stays at the cutting edge of sustainability practice for business. Online education is an growing work stream for CISL with considerable potential and with a shortage of experienced online professionals we will draw on Bruce’s expertise to help grow this portfolio.

Biography

Bruce has served as a regular member of faculty on CISL’s Sustainability Practitioners Programme in South Africa and since 2017 has been a Head Tutor on our successful tutor-supported online course, Business Sustainability Management.

With more than 20 years’ experience in international business, Bruce Haase brings both a deep understanding of business sustainability issues and hands-on experience implementing sustainability strategies within commercial organizations.

Bruce's business experience includes 10 years at Canon Europe, where he served as CSR Director for EMEA and complemented by his experience of leading NGO, public-private partnership, and commodity supply-chain initiatives. As head of the Climate Business Engagement Unit within WWF International, Bruce was responsible for the prestigious Climate Savers programme. He has a passion for promoting organisational change and innovative business approaches and as well as appearing as a regular speaker at global events lectures on the University of Rotterdam distance learning Master in Consultancy and Entrepreneurship. He provides his own sustainability consulting and communication services focusing on facilitation skills and the training of Business, NGOs, and multi-stakeholder groups.
