Brad Hendricks studies the causes and effects of corporate disclosure; financial regulation; initial public offerings and entrepreneurship.

His research has been published in leading accounting and strategy journals, including the Journal of Accounting Research, The Accounting Review, Review of Accounting Studies, Management Science, Organization Science, Strategic Management Journal, MIT Sloan Management Review, Harvard Business Review and Journal of Business Finance & Accounting.

His research has also been featured in the national media, including The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post and Forbes.

Dr. Hendricks teaches financial reporting in the Masters of Accounting Program. He received the 2016 Weatherspoon Award for Excellence in MAC Teaching.

He serves as a board member for Carolina for the Kids, the largest student-run philanthropy in North Carolina.

Prior to joining UNC Kenan-Flagler, he worked as a CPA at Ernst & Young.

Dr. Hendricks received his PhD in business administration from the University of Michigan’s Stephen M. Ross School of Business. He received his MAcc and BA in accounting from the University of Utah, where he graduated with high honors.
