Cox School of Business
As a full-time lecturer with SMU's Masters Program in Dispute Resolution and Conflict Management, Dr. Robert Barner teaches a variety of courses within the program's organizational/corporate track. He received his Ph.D. in Organization Development from the Fielding Graduate Institute and has authored six books on the subjects of executive development and team building, which have been translated into three languages. He has also been a contributor to several business and research anthologies, including the Handbook of Human Development and Learning. Dr. Barner's articles have appeared in a number of professional journals and he has been a featured presenter at national and international conferences on related topics. Dr. Barner brings over 25 years of corporate experience to the classroom. He has held executive positions in organizational development and learning with a variety of corporations, directing OD and learning projects in North America, Mexico, Europe, Asia, and Australia.
