About me

Team Coach (Lecturer) in the Team Entrepreneurship (TE) programme. Also working on the development of external collaborations of TE with other institutions in the UK and abroad.

Berrbizne holds an International PhD (Hons) in Economics and Business Management, on the research line of Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Territory (University of Valencia). Besides, she holds an MSc in East Asian Studies (University of Bristol), an MBA (Mondragon University) and BA (Hons) in Business Administration and Management (Mondragon University).

Prior to joining UWE, Berrbizne worked in Mondragon University (Spain) as lecturer on Strategic Management, Marketing Research, Business Administration Economics and International Business Strategy both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and in different programmes (LEINN- Entrepreneurial Leadership and Innovation Degree, Bachelor´s degree in Business Administration and Management, Master on International Business, Master  Social Economy and Cooperative Business Studies, etc.).

She designed and coordinated the module of Asia-Pacific of the Master on International Business of Mondragon University. Her previous work on research was in Mondragon Innovation and Knowledge (MIK), the research center on management of Mondragon Business Group.

She has previously presented her work at various academic conferences and doctoral consortiums such as Academy of International Business (AIB) or European Academy of International Business (EIBA).  Berrbizne has received various awards for her research. The paper "Disentangling the place of MNEs through their international social capital: the role of communities of practice and clustering" was awarded the best paper on International Business on the 2017 XXVII ACEDE Conference (Madrid, Spain). Her PhD was previously awarded as Best Doctoral Communication on the 2015 Torrecid Price of Clustering, Workshop on Clusters and Industrial Districts (University of Valencia, Spain). She has received research funding from the Basque Government- Department of Scientific Policy (Basque Country, Spain) for her PhD. and other research projects in MIK. Other research funding includes the Programmes to Strengthen the Basque Science, Technology and Innovation Network or the COST Action IS0905 Project to participate in the EIBA Conference Doctoral Think Tank "The Emergence of Southern Multinationals, their Impact on Europe".
