INSEAD Business School
Benjamin Segal is an Adjunct Professor of Accounting and Control at INSEAD and an Associate Professor of Accounting at Fordham University's Schools of Business.
He received his PhD in Accounting from the Stern School of Business at NYU. In addition, he received a M.B.A. in Finance, a B.A. in Economics and a LL.B. in Law from Tel-Aviv University.
Prior to arriving at INSEAD, Professor Segal has taught at the University of California, Davis and at NYU. His teaching interests include financial reporting and the analysis of financial statements.
At INSEAD Benjamin teaches core and electives courses in the MBA, Executive MBA and Masters in Finance programs, as well as in multiple Executive Education programs. Benjamin has been nominated for the “Best Teacher Award” and is winner of the “Deans’ Commendation for Excellence in MBA Teaching”.
Benjamin's research interests focus on corporate governance, the information content of financial statements and analyst reports, valuation effects of accounting regulation, intangible asset impairment and earnings management.
His work has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, and has appeared in leading journals including Review of Accounting Studies, Journal of Accounting, Auditing and Finance, The Journal of Portfolio Management and The Journal of Investing.
