Ben Dobbs, originally from York, is a trainer and coach working internationally. During his career so far, he has worked with around 80 different nationalities in the UK and Ireland, the GCC, Russia, China and various other countries with course participants from major high market capital companies, universities, business schools, hospitals and the military services of several countries.
Academically, Ben is educated to MA level. Ben has completed his training as an executive coach with the ILM (Institute of Leadership and Management) and holds a Level 7 Certificate in Executive Coaching and Leadership Mentoring. Ben is also a certified Change Management Specialist (CMS), Six Sigma Black Belt Professional (SSBBP) and Corporate Crisis Manager (CCMC) through the Management and Strategy Institute (MSI). He also holds a Cambridge CELTA for language training and is accredited by English UK and Language-Cert to run Cert IBET trainer training.
Ben has also written many published articles on matters of communication, teams, leadership and training. He is also co-author of the recent A to Z of Coaching (Academic Study Kit publishers, 2017) and the forthcoming A to Z of Leadership and is a frequent contributor to teachers’ and trainers’ magazines in the UK, Germany and elsewhere.
Ben is a frequent conference presenter, talking recently in the Czech Republic, Poland, Malta, the UAE, Ireland and the UK on issues of business, communication, coaching and training. Ben has previously worked with the University of Birmingham, being responsible for development of case study materials alongside teacher development, and a leading university in the Russian Federation where he ran a programme of training and coaching for academic writers seeking publication of their work in international journals.
Professionally, Ben enjoys creating and devising engaging and practical intensive courses to meet the differing needs of participants and seeing his trainees and coaches find their own unique paths to success through training and coaching.
