Kenan-Flagler Business School
Entrepreneurship, venture financing, ethics and commercial and consumer law are areas of expertise for Barry Roberts.
Dr. Roberts is co-author of three business law texts with UNC Kenan-Flagler professor Richard Mann: "Business Law and the Regulation of Business" (7th edition), "Essentials of Business Law" (8th edition) and "Business Law" (12th edition).
He is a former judicial clerk for the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. He has started four companies.
He was executive vice president of MycoSearch Inc. for 12 years and took it from startup to sale. He served as acting president of Cellpath for 18 months. He continues to work with numerous start-up companies and participates in angel round investments.
He has served as a consultant and taught executive education programs for GlaxoSmithKline, Sonoco, RTI and BEPCO.
He received his LLM from Harvard University, his JD from the University of Pennsylvania and his BS from Pennsylvania State University.
