Barbara Healy has been a Senior Consultant at NFP Retirement (SST Consulting) since 2008 working with public sector and non-profit educational institutions primarily. Barbara currently holds FINRA Series 66 License and is a Registered Investment Advisor with the SEC. Prior to joining SST Benefits, Barbara was the Vice President at Great West Life & Annuity in charge nationally of the education pension market where she launched successfully an innovative, low cost open architecture, internet based IRC §403(b) and IRC §457(b) plan offering. Barbara was Vice President of Business Development for all Public Sector plans at Nationwide Retirement Solutions and responsible for MetLife’s Education pension market nationally. She has 30 years of experience exclusively assisting local government, school districts, credit unions and other non-profits with their pension and retirement plans. Currently, she is a fee only institutional consultant and does not work with individuals. Barbara has earned an MBA degree in finance from DePaul University. She earned the CFP® designation from the College of Financial Planning, the Certified Funds Specialist designation (CFS); the Certified Retirement Administrator designation, (CRC); and Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF). Barbara is a member of the Financial Planning Association, the Institute of Business and Finance, Who’s Who in Financial Planning, National Association of Government Defined Contribution Administrators (NAGDCA), Madison’s Who’s Who, and the Gerson Lehrman Consulting Group. She has well as volunteered her time for NAGDCA and InFRE. Barbara is popular lecturer, and has authored the book “Personal Financial Planning Handbook for Education and other Nonprofit Employees” and has published many financial articles and monographs. She is also a past Board member of Arizona School To Work Program.
