Biography

Avi serves as SAM’s Chief Investment Officer and is responsible for shaping the firm’s investment strategies and philosophies. Through his deep understanding of markets, Avi ensures SAM’s portfolios are positioned for long-term appreciation, and are aligned with our clients’ goals and objectives.

Avi has over 25 years of investment experience that he brings to SAM. He started his investing career at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, and then managed over $5 billion in assets as a Portfolio Manager at Jennison Associates before leaving to join a long-short hedge fund. Avi enjoys sharing his knowledge, he serves on an advisory board to the Financial Accounting Standards Board, and previously taught Value Investing as an Adjunct Professor at Columbia Business School.

Avi graduated magna cum laude at Harvard University, and earned his MBA at Columbia Business School.
