Darla Moore School of Business

Austin Starkweather is a professor of finance at the University of South Carolina’s Darla Moore School of Business. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Maryland in 2016, after which he worked in financial litigation consulting, with projects ranging from IPO valuation, to corporate proxy fights, and bankruptcy litigation. He teaches financial statement analysis to both undergraduate and Professional MBA students.

Research

Professor Starkweather’s research is in the area of empirical corporate finance, with recent projects in the areas of corporate governance, analyst forecasts, and compensation.
