Biography

Professor Arnold Schneider both teaches and performs research in auditing and cost/managerial accounting at the College where he is the current Accounting Area Coordinator. He received a PhD from Ohio State University and has had visiting faculty positions at Macquarie University (Australia), Shanghai Jiao Tong University (China), and Emory University.

A former auditor with the U.S. General Accounting Office, Dr. Schneider has a CPA certificate from Maryland. His current research focuses on internal control reporting and various internal auditor judgments. He has published over 50 articles in journals such as Journal of Accounting Research, Accounting Review, Journal of Business Finance and Accounting, Contemporary Accounting Research, Decision Sciences, and Behavioral Research in Accounting. Dr. Schneider has served on the editorial boards of several journals including Accounting Review and Advances in Accounting. He is also an author of a managerial accounting textbook.
