Presentation
My PhD research focuses on social entrepreneurship as a process by exploring how it is brought about, developed, and implemented in continuous interaction between the social enterprise and the context in which it is embedded. It examines what effects this ‘interaction-in-the-making’ has for the social target group as well as the surrounding community. Arguing that social entrepreneurial activities often lead to both material and symbolic changes in the pursuit of solving a given social problem, my research aims to explore the dynamics of this process. It is a practitioner-oriented and case based ethnographic study in the context of social entrepreneurial work in India.
This PhD scholarship is in collaboration with the European Haniel Program on Entrepreneurship and Humanities, which is a teaching and research initiative at St. Gallen University.
