Dr. Peters is professor at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California and the Director of the USC Clinical Diabetes Programs. She also directs diabetes centers in Beverly Hills and in underserved East Los Angeles and works with the LA County Department of Health Services on a county-wide diabetes program.
Dr. Peters has been a principal investigator on multiple clinical trials focusing on diabetes and diabetes prevention and published her findings in more than 100 peer-reviewed articles in medical journals including JAMA, the New England Journal of Medicine, Annals of Internal Medicine, and Diabetes Care. She has been an invited speaker at hundreds of local, national, and international medical conferences.
