Anna Sise

Contributed to three separate research projects in the Union College Department of Physics and Astronomy. Collaborated with a professor and fellow student to examine theoretical high density percolation using the computer program DataStudio during the summer of 2010.

Determined the appropriate laser intensity necessary to change the oxidation state of lead through conducted tests and calculations, used in the field of art conservation in order to preserve historic and significant pieces of art during the summer of 2011.

Produced polymer nano-fibers through an electrospinning process and characterized these nano-fibers through use of Optical Microscopy, Scanning Election Microscopy, and Atomic Force Microscopy for my honors thesis, from September 2011 until May 2012.
