Bloomfield College Professor of Finance, Dr. Anita Pasmantier, has been selected as a Fulbright Specialist. The Fulbright Specialist Program, part of the larger Fulbright Program, was established in 2001 by the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA). The program pairs highly qualified U.S. academics and professionals with host institutions, spanning over 150 countries, to share their expertise, strengthen institutional linkages, hone their skills, gain international experience, and learn about other cultures while building capacity at their overseas host institutions.

As a Fulbright Specialist, Dr. Pasmantier is currently listed on the Fulbright Specialist Roster where she will remain for a three-year term and is eligible to be matched with a host institution’s project abroad.

The College previously reported that Dr. Pasmantier concluded her assignment as a Fulbright scholar in June 2018 where she taught Advanced Corporate Finance at Libera Università Internazionale degli Studi Sociali Guido Carli (LUISS University) in Rome, Italy for the 2018 Spring semester.

Specialists are competitively selected to join the Fulbright Specialist Roster based on their knowledge, skill sets, and ability to make a significant contribution to projects overseas.

Prior to Bloomfield College, Dr. Pasmantier was the Manager of Foreign Exchange at the corporate headquarters for PepsiCo, a Fortune 50 company. After three years at PepsiCo, she started as the Manager of Foreign Exchange at the corporate headquarters for Sterling Drug Inc., a Fortune 200 company, where she worked for five years. During the years she was employed full time at both PepsiCo and Sterling Drug, Dr. Pasmantier worked on her Ph.D. degree at Fordham University, receiving her doctorate in 1988. She began her tenure in academia at her alma mater, then Seton Hall University where she taught for six years. She then moved on to Fairleigh Dickinson University before taking time off to raise her daughter Daniella and joining the Bloomfield College community.
