Dr. Kang is a licensed clinical psychologist in New York and New Jersey, who provides individual psychotherapy, couples therapy, and family therapy to children, adolescents, and adults in NYC and Westchester. She earned her bachelor's degree in psychology at Georgetown University and her doctorate at Fordham University. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at Mt. Sinai/Elmhurst Hospital and her post-doctoral fellowship at Pace College Counseling Center. She has been practicing for over 12 years and has extensive experience working in college counseling, school, outpatient, day treatment, inpatient, and forensic settings in the NYC area and collaborating with culturally diverse children, adolescents, adults, families, and parents. Dr. Kang has a special interest working with Asian American clients and other minority groups struggling with acculturation.

Dr. Kang's therapeutic approach is holistic and incorporates various factors that impact an individual's sense of self. She is integrative in her use of techniques, offering concrete tools for dealing with life's challenges as well as helping clients gain insight. She draws from psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, family systems, and emotion-focused frameworks, but overall values the therapeutic relationship, characterized by non-judgment and genuineness, as a source of healing.
