Background

Andy’s extensive knowledge and experience encompasses a deep commitment to developing the capability of those in leadership roles. He has worked with senior executives in a wide range of sectors including professional services, financial services, manufacturing, engineering, the public and third sector as well as military personnel. Trained as an organisational psychologist and an experienced psychotherapist, he brings a profoundly effective mixture of skills and insights to bear on his work.  

He holds a B.A. in Business Studies, an M.A. in Organisational Psychology, and is trained in psychotherapy and the martial arts. . Whilst at Manchester Metropolitan University he led the team who designed, developed, and ran one of the UK’s first significant Masters programme designed using Action Learning methodology.

Current activities

He has led programmes for the Praxis Centre for Leadership Development for over 30 years. Over this time his determination to develop and deliver programmes that positively impact those who attend and subsequently the organisations in which they work has seen him tirelessly seek continuous improvements on how he and his programme team operate. Each year he incorporates the latest thinking into Cranfield School of Management’s flagship ‘High Performance Leadership’ programme by employing the latest learning design and technological advances, resulting in the fully immersive blended learning programme designed with maximum impact in mind. His programmes are inspirational as well as deeply practical.
