Daniels College of Business
Andrew Urbaczewski, associate professor in the Department of Business Information & Analytics, came to Daniels in 2013 from the University of Michigan at Dearborn, where he spent 10 years on the faculty, including six as the chair of the department of Management Studies. Urbaczewski has written 23 articles published in refereed journals. His dissertation and early research examined electronic monitoring of Internet usage by employers. His research has now expanded to sports analytics as well as information security education and electronic health record implementation. He holds a BSBA (with Honors) in Finance from the University of Tennessee, an MBA from West Virginia University, and a PhD in Management Information Systems from Indiana University. Urbaczewski primarily teaches in the MSBA program, focusing on courses in Business Decision Making. Prior to being at UM-Dearborn, he was an assistant professor at Washington State University.
In 2019–2021 Andrew was away as a distinguished visiting professor at the United States Air Force Academy.
