Andrew Marr is one of the most familiar reporters, journalists, presenters and interviewers on television. He is the host of ‘The Andrew Marr Show’, the BBC agenda-setting interview programme, which transmits every Sunday morning on BBC1; during which Andrew interviews live a host of high profile guests on topical issues. He moved to the programme in 2005 after five-years as Political Editor for the BBC News during which he covered all political news including the 2005 General Election. Andrew also presents the Radio 4 programme, ‘Start the Week’, on a regular basis.

Career

Talking about his professional life, Marr started his career in 1996, working as a political commentator and edited The Independent. He served in the position for two years and left it in 1998.

Since 2000 to 2005, he worked as political editor of BBC news, and then Sunday AM, now called The Andrew Marr Show. He has written many books related to arts. As a trainee, he joined The Scotsman and in 1984, he started working as a business reporter.

He has received the awards and honors like The Columnist of the Year, What The Papers Say Award, British Press Awards, British Academy Television Awards, and Richard Dimbleby award.
